The Next Expansion is Coming

Warlords of Draenor the next expansion in the World of Warcraft series from Blizzard Entertainment was announced at Blizz Con 2013. The return to Outland (Draenor) before it was shattered by the explosions of portals. No new classes where announced however, which has disappointed many fans who enjoy leveling new classes or new races. However Blizzard has promised that this is not just a reskin of Outlands but a complete new world. Fully explorable, though there will be no flying till around patch 6.1. Here is a list of new or updated features coming in Warlords:

• New Character Models
• One Free Level 90 Boost
• Garrisons
• New Quests, Less Dailies
• Whole New World

Character Models

All the original Character Models that are outdated do to ever changing graphics are being revamped. Blizzard has stated they are no current plans to allow free character customization after the new models but it could happen. Also the new models are supposed to still capture the original essence of your character with out changing the feel to drastically. The new models have increased polygons and are less symmetrical so it looks a bit more realistic and less cartoony.

Level 90 Boost

That’s right one character on your account will be able to be 90 right at the start of Warlords. How does this impact old and new players? Well if you have many alts it doesn’t really affect you other than maybe getting the one class that has eluded you for so long to 90 (soon 100). However for new players it gives them a chance to jump right into the expansion with there friends. Though this causes some concerns with them not knowing there class or how to play. Then again how many people still don’t know there class after eight years. The free boost also comes with class specific gear appropriate to your specialization.

Garrisons

A much requested feature that is almost like player housing you build your own fort. You can invite about a raid sized group to see it. This fort will have several building plots and work to help further customize your character. Including the ability to farm for professions pet battle breeders and so much more. Your garrison will be phased much like the farm was which raises concerns about PvP. Other than you will be able to hire a number of minions to mine/gather or go do raids to get your garrison experience and further expand and upgrade.

New Quests... Not So Many Dailies

Everyone hates dailies especially after MoP made it where everything was a daily with no limits. Well to fix this Warlords will still have quests but less dailies, Though the quests will be more story driven. The legendary quest-line will be back. Class Specific quests may also make a return.

A Whole New World

That’s right Draenor is no Outlands, places you may have been before will look and feel different. It is as if it’s a look in the past or an alternate timeline with no burning legion. Before Black Temple was so Black and the Orcs so Green this was there world.
